Preparation

Preheat your oven to 350 Fahrenheit and then grab the electric mixer for the preparation of the pie filling.

With the electric mixer, add your potatoes, 1 cup of sugar, eggs, butter, vanilla, salt, and each of the spices. Blend for around one minute, then slowly dispense the milk and then keep blending.

Set up your pie crust, lightly pour in the pie filling and then even it out.

Bake for 30 to 45 minutes or until you have inserted a toothpick in the middle of the pie and it comes out nice and clean. Cautiously Get your pie from the oven and then let it cool for several of minutes.

In making the meringue, clean up your electric mixer and whisk in egg whites until smooth and bubbly. Slowly bring in remaining cup of sugar, just one tbsp . at a time while still blending right until all of the sugar pieces melts and then mixture is smooth and stiff, yet still moist.

Pour your meringue into your cooled off pie using a rubber spatula, you can have peaks if you like or you can utilize a non-reusable icing bag for you to form your own icing.

Drizzle with granulated sugar.

Bake once more for 10 minutes or until finally frosting turns slightly brown. Take away from the oven, let it cool for a couple of minutes, and then serve in single slices.

Savor your Thanksgiving holiday!
