Recipe for Lemon Pancake

For those who like consuming homemade pancakes, you've to attempt these delightful lemon pancakes. They're very easy to make, all of the ingredients are affordable, and also you can get them from the nearest grocery shop. This recipe has been in our household for several years. I remember when I was a child and my grandmother created these pancakes. She explained that she had recipe from her mom. Then, when I was a little older, my mom taught the best way to make them. I truly like these homemade lemon pancakes and that is why I wish to provide you with this recipe. I am quite certain which you will not have troubles with making lemon pancakes. Creating the batter is very quick and cooking pancakes even much easier.

When making pancakes, it is recommended to have fresh ingredients. Then the taste of pancakes is a lot much better. One more significant factor is not to use electric mixer when creating the batter. I suggest for you to work with spoon or fork to whisk the mix. All the other instructions I listed down below. Ingredients:

1 cup of self-rising flour, cup of sour cream, 1 large egg, cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of lemon zest, 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter melted, 2 tablespoons of sugar, Powdered sugar to sprinkle on top

How you can make homemade lemon pancakes:

In one bowl, combine sour cream, melted butter and egg. Then, add lemon juice and half of lemon zest. Stir slowly. Next, add sugar and flour and once more stir carefully and slowly. Don't over mix the batter. It may have some lumps remaining, that will disappear throughout the cooking. Heat a frying pan or a griddle above medium high temperature and brush it with couple of drops of oil or with butter. When frying pan is hot enough, pour about 1 tablespoon of batter for a silver-dollar sized pancakes. Cook pancakes on one side for three minutes or till golden brown. Flip and cook once more for approximately 2-3 minutes or till golden brown. Serve pancakes hot.
